Specific answers about how this tool works — and what it doesn't do.
The Free Invoice is a browser-based invoice generator. You fill in your details — your name or business, your client's name, an invoice number, date, payment terms, line items, currency, and optional tax rate — and the tool generates a PDF invoice you can download immediately. Everything runs in your browser; nothing is sent to or stored on any server.

Go back to the form, correct the details, and generate a new PDF. Since nothing is saved, you will need to re-enter all the information. It's worth double-checking amounts, dates, the invoice number, and the client name before you download.
The tool applies a tax percentage you enter and calculates the tax amount and total automatically. It does not determine what rate you should charge — tax obligations vary significantly by country, region, and business type. Consult a qualified accountant for guidance on your specific tax situation.
No. The tool generates a document based on what you enter. It does not validate whether your invoice meets any legal or tax requirements in your jurisdiction. You are responsible for the accuracy and completeness of your invoices. For guidance on invoicing requirements, tax obligations, or payment terms, consult a qualified accountant or attorney.
